The weather is improving, there is a clear sense of spring, and the Summer League is approaching. This is an opportunity to represent Portmarnock Tennis Club in competitive singles or doubles matches against other clubs.
At this stage, members are asked to register the weeks they expect to be available and indicate whether they wish to play singles, doubles, or be considered as a substitute. Availability does not need to be exact. This information is used to gauge overall interest and determine how many teams can be entered ahead of the March 24th deadline.
Each fixture consists of three singles matches and two doubles matches, with seven players in total, played in a standard best-of-three set format.
To register your interest, review the indicative dates below and complete the form. If you already know that you are likely to miss two or more dates, please select the substitute option rather than player, as this helps team captains plan fixtures more effectively.
You can follow the DLTC leagues via dltcdirectory.net and we would love for members to show support for our teams, particularly during home matches.
Note: There are public holidays around some summer league dates. Fixtures are never schdeduled on public holiday days and often take a break for the weekend before. We’ll provide more information on dates as soon as they’re published.
