It’s almost time for the annual Portmarnock Tennis Club Junior Championships! Please review the essential information below before completing the entry form for your chosen competitions.

To enter the club championships, simply follow the steps below and complete the process before July 23, 2025.

Forms must be completed by a parent/guardian. Please agree with the parent/guardian of any doubles partners that you may provide their contact information ahead of completing the form.
Complete the form at the bottom of the page by selecting up to three events in total. For each doubles event, you will need to provide doubles partner and guardian details, they will need to provide your details as part of their form entry too.
After submitting the form, check your email for a confirmation message — and be sure to check your spam folder in case it does not reach your inbox. The email will include a summary of the competitions entered.
Entry is €5 per player, per event. To complete payment, log in to Smart Club, go to the Events section, and select the number of competitions you are entering (1 to 3). Check-in with the doubles partners and once all payments are complete, you’re in!
Please note: if you’re unable to accomodate the scheduled competition time, please liaise with your opponent directly and update junuiors@portmarnocktennis.ie with confirmed updates. Please be mindful of subsequent matches that need to be played within the timeframe
All matches will take place between August 11–17, 2025,
Each match will be scheduled between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm each day.
Finals Day will be held on Sunday, August 17, with a full day of matches and family festivities.
The Junior Club Committee will manage the match schedule, which will be published here once the draw is complete. You’ll also receive an email notification when it goes live.
Important:
To take part, you must be available during the dates and times listed above. Due to a packed club calendar, rescheduling or alternative match times will not be possible.
The Singles Competition is open to all members aged 9 and above, within the designated ball colour categories. If you’re unsure which category to choose, please contact juniors@portmarnocktennis.ie. The competition includes two categories: Boys’ and Girls’, each featuring four sub-events — Orange Ball (Under 9), Green Ball (Under 10), Yellow Ball (Under 12), and Yellow Ball (Under 14).
Matches are played in a best-of-three sets format.
The Doubles Competition is open to all members aged 9 and above and includes three categories: Boys’, Girls’, and Mixed Doubles. Each category features two to four sub-events — Orange Ball (Under 9), Green Ball (Under 10), Yellow Ball (Under 12), and Yellow Ball (Under 14) for Boys’ and Girls’ Doubles; and Yellow Ball (Under 12 and Under 14) for Mixed Doubles
Matches are played in a best-of-three sets format.
We haven’t forgotten our red ball junior players. During the finals weekend, August 16-17, we’ll have a mini tournament and inclusive event for all red ball players.
